Kathy Hewitt, Partner, 214-684-1233

Kathy grew up in Panama, where she was a local golf star. After attending Arizona State University on a golf scholarship, Kathy moved to Dallas and graduated cum laude in Finance from UT-Dallas. She got her real estate license in 1987 and plunged in to her successful career helping so many buy or sell homes. Kathy has also been very active in community and charity events, including serving on the boards of the MetroTex Association of Realtors, Dallas Fort Worth Black Tie Dinner, HRC Federal Club, and co-chaired Dallas’ AIDS LifeWalk. In recognition of Kathy’s work on behalf of the Dallas community, then-mayor of Dallas Laura Miller declared September 13, 2003 as Kathy Hewitt Day! Kathy shares her wonderful home in East Kessler with two cats and one dog: Carmen, Charlie and Maggie.

Steve Habgood, Partner, 214-684-1234

Steve moved to Dallas in 1985 to pursue a marketing, public relations and sales career. Prior to forming Hewitt & Habgood Realty Group in 1999, Steve handled marketing, corporate communications, and public relations for Baylor University Medical Center, NUVO, and owned his own marketing communications company for five years. Steve is a past president of the Kessler Park Neighborhood association, has served as the chair of MetroTex Association of Realtors MLS committee, is the immediate past President of North Texas Real Estate Information Systems (NTREIS), past board chairman of the American Cancer Society/Dallas, and a past co-chair of Dallas’s AIDS LifeWalk. He serves as the current President of MetroTex Association of Realtors, representing 15,000 Realtors and affiliates throughout North Texas. He also serves on the board of the Texas Association of Realtors and the board of the National Association of Realtors. Steve has his GREEN designation from the National Association of REALTORS and is a designated Historic House Specialist with Preservation Dallas. He and his partner of 26 years live in the rolling hills of East Kessler Park with their rescue dog, Scooter.

As a lifelong resident of Dallas, Melissa found her ‘true’ community when she and her husband Tom purchased their first Oak Cliff home in West Kessler in 1999. Having lived in various areas throughout Dallas, Melissa fell in love with the idea of helping others attain their dream of homeownership after she and her husband spent 3 years renovating their second Oak Cliff residence nestled up on a hill in East Kessler. Melissa has an enthusiastic appreciation for all things OC; serves as Co-Chair for Oak Cliff MLS; is a certified International Real Estate Specialist (I.R.E.S.) and a Chi Omega alum. She is a proud wife and mother of 1 daughter, Alex, who is a recent graduate of Auburn University.

Charlotte brings more than 30 years administrative experience and oversees all administrative aspects of the Hewitt & Habgood Realty Group including buyer & seller support services, listing services, and marketing support. A Dallas resident since 1982, Charlotte's interests include collecting Scottish Terrier antiques and memorabilia, traveling and photography. We really couldn't do it without her!

Kristine grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and Art History and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Dance. Kristine moved to Dallas in 2012 for an internship with the creative team at D Magazine. She has since worked in both commercial and residential real estate. Kristine’s hobbies include exploring Dallas, dance, do-it-yourself projects, thrift shopping, and traveling. She lives in Oak Lawn with her dog Gilly.
